Barnsley FC have revealed the new away kit for the upcoming 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship season.
The stylish away shirt incorporates a v-neck collar, alongside a striking gold and navy blue pattern across the chest which, complements the tonal crest. On the neck, ‘COYR’ features, celebrating the popular terrace chant. The kit is finished with navy blue shorts and socks.
The Club’s primary partner, The Investment Room, adorn the front of all shorts, with Palmer Construction remaining on the rear.
As part of the away kit launch, the Reds acquired the help of a number of supporters (Stephen and Luke Roby, Sue Evans, John Howard, Rebecca Webb, Roy Richardson (and his 9 month old son, James)) who attended all 23 away fixtures throughout the 2018/19 season.
These supporters were amongst the first to cast their eyes over the new strip and Sue Evans was a particular fan.
“The shirt is lovely, I like all the blue shirts that have been released over the years, but this is really nice.”
On being asked how she managed to make all 23 away league encounters, Sue responded with “I don’t know why I do it, it’s just what I do, it’s addictive. I just can’t miss a Saturday.
“My Husband is a Leeds fan. The rivalry is great, he’s certainly a better loser than I am. He’s great with my passion for Barnsley, whenever both Clubs are away on the same day, the rule is that I get to go and he stays home with the dog.
“Here’s hoping that Daniel can keep this positive feeling running into the new season and we get more memorable trips!”
